Get to Know Me

Hi, I'm Ericka Reid. I am a certified makeup artist serving much of Ohio. I started Magic's In The Makeup in 2008 after receiving my certification. Being a makeup artist over the past 15+years, I've had the opportunity to do makeup for weddings, proms and homecoming dances, senior pics, family portraits, business commercials, fashion shoots, tween teach me makeup parties, one-on-one consultations, and special effects for Halloween. My desire to keep up with the ever-changing trends in the beauty and makeup industry, I also was fortunate to be able to freelance for Clinique, Bobbi Brown, MAC, Estée Lauder, and Smashbox Cosmetics.

Some of my favorite things to do outside of makeup, is spend time traveling with my family, reading, boating, any activity in the summer sunshine and my guilty pleasure of binging Netflix shows.

Questions I've been asked the most over the years:

Q: What is the one makeup item you couldn't live without?

A: For myself, it would be my eyelash curler. For clients, would be moisturizer/face primer.

Q: Can you help me color match my foundation? I can never find the right color.

A: YESSSS I CAN!

Q: Can I wear red lipstick during the day?

A: You can do wear whatever you want! I feel red lipstick is empowering!
